New To Yoga?

At Nova Luna Yoga and Wellness, all students are welcomed and respected, from those who have never set foot in a yoga studio to seasoned practitioners.

We teach every class mindfully, and include cuing for all levels of experience, all body types, all fitness ranges, and all ages attending….in community. Our teachers believe in giving everyone agency over what feels right in their body, and we welcome you to break away from guided instruction when necessary to honor what serves you best. This is why, in a given moment, you may see a fellow student resting comfortably in Child’s Pose, while still another embraces a challenging pose like a Hand-Stand. We encourage you to think of YOUR practice as something that serves YOU…and not the other way around.

In Sanskrit, the word Satya is translated to mean being truthful, especially in regard to one's thoughts, speech and action. More generally, we often think of it as TRUTH. Your practice is a living, breathing expression of Satya; TRUTH. Honoring YOUR truth on the mat is the greatest gift you can bestow upon your body, mind and spirit. In plain English, You Do You, Boo! We are here for all of it, and we welcome you to find what makes your body and spirit feel safe and your mind clear.
